Arellia is unveiling its 7.0 support as a Gold Sponsor of the Symantec Vision Conference in Las Vegas this week.

Formerly an integrated OEM component of SMP, Arellia became a third party Symantec Development Program partner in Q4 2009 and is now providing Local Security and Application Control Solution through Symantec and its channel partners as a third-party solution. With the advent of SMP 7.0, Arellia is taking its support to another level with the concept of "Orange Listing."

There is a wide gap between white listing supported apps and black listing of unsupported apps. Many black listed apps are not supported simply because they are not yet known or tested. With Arellia, you have the ability to tag new or unknown applications for higher scrutiny and uniquely controlled access to run on desktops safely, securely and with full capabilities.

-The company behind two OEM solutions is now an independently branded firm as it becomes a new Symantec Developer Program Partner-

Alpine, UT - November 3, 2009 - The company that provides Application Control Solution and Local Security Solution for the Symantec Management Platform (formerly known as the Altiris Platform) has now become an independent brand, Arellia, Inc., and a Symantec Developer Program partner. Effective immediately, these two products are available for purchase from Symantec and its channel partners worldwide through the Symantec price list as an integrated third-party solution.

Arellia currently supports the 6.x versions of the Symantec Management Platform. The company also announced plans to release updated versions of Arellia Local Security Solution and Arellia Application Control Solution that will support version 7.0 of the Symantec Management Platform by the end of Q1 2010.

Arellia's CEO, Michael Sainsbury, was formerly the CTO of Computing Edge (acquired by Altiris in 2000). From 2000-2004, he served as VP Software Architecture for Altiris (now Symantec) as well as directing Asia Pacific (APAC) growth for Altiris during that time. In these roles, Sainsbury was the primary developer behind the Altiris Notification Server technology, a core strength of the Symantec Management Platform that is prevalent in the market today.

Prior to its emergence as an independent brand, Arellia provided OEM solutions to Symantec.  As a Symantec Developer Program partner, Arellia is expanding its field sales and support teams to better support Symantec in helping their joint customers.
