How To Download and Install Arellia Software

Arellia solutions for the Altiris 6 and 7 environment are installed via the solution center in your Altiris console.   If you do not already have Altiris Notification Server installed you can register and download Notification Server from the Symantec site.

Once you have Notification Server for Altiris 6 or 7 installed you can install Local Security Solution and Application Control Solution.

  • NS 7 - We have published our own Solution Center product listing which is easy to use.  Simply follow the instructions posted in the Arellia KB, here.
  • NS 6 - You will see Local Security Solution and Application Control Solution as solutions that can be installed when you open the standard Solution Center page in the NS 6 console.

Where to Go For Support for Arellia Software

  • If you purchased Local Security Solution or Application Control with a Symantec/Altiris named part number and you are still using version 6.x then you receive your support directly from Symantec.
  • If you have purchased the the software with an Arellia named part number or when you update to version 7.x of one of our solutions then you will receive your support from Arellia.

    To receive support please register with our Support Portal.  The link is located on the sidebar "Create and Track Arellia Support Tickets".  Also here is a link [please save as a .docx not a .zip file] with instructions on how to register.  You just need (or can create) a Windows Live ID.

Please note that when you purchase the software there are standard and extended versions of support that you can receive.   Arellia support policies are the same that you have with Symantec in terms of hours of support.
